Staff and volunteers
A committee of voluntary trustees oversee the running of the charity. Most of our trustees are parent of members and others with strong connections to Holiday Club. All parents are welcome to attend our Annual General Meetings and we would love to hear from anyone who is interested in joining our voluntary committee.
All fund raising is done by volunteers, as well as book-keeping and other administration tasks. Our volunteers work throughout the year to raise the funds we need – they must raise £2,000 – £3,000 per month on average to ensure that we have enough to run our activities.
More volunteers support our paid staff during summer activities. Without our team of volunteers our running costs would be much higher.
Staff – Activities
We need a team of qualified and experienced staff to provide care and support for our members. Our staff members have worked in a wide range of settings and have extensive experience of additional needs.
Our staff team is supported by volunteers who assist at our sessions under the supervision of qualified staff members.
Manager Jo Burton and assistant manager Sue Carter have both been involved with Holiday Club for many years, beginning as volunteers during their school holidays some years ago!
